Responsibilities*

To evaluate and treat patients with conditions affecting the hands, wrist, elbows, and shoulders. Assess and treat injuries and conditions such as fractures, tendon, nerve injuries, arthritis, cumulative trauma, chronic pain, and post-surgical conditions. Develop personalized treatment plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function using therapeutic interventions including modalities and orthosis fabrication, as prescribed by a physician. This is a temporary position of 20-40 hours per week, depending on clinic needs.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor, Master of Science or clinical Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current Michigan License, or eligible
  • Member of NBCOT
  • Current Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
  • Ability to work between the hours of 7am and 7pm based on clinic scheduling needs
  • Strong adaptability and willingness to work in multiple clinic locations as needed
  • Experience with a wide range of upper extremity diagnoses
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and patient populations

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience or strong interest in treating chronic pain and complex upper extremity conditions
  • Proficiency with electronic medal record (EMR) systems 

Modes of Work

Background Screening
