Job Summary

A Research Fellow position is available it the Functional Neuroimaging Cognitive Mobility Laboratory, Departments of Neurology & Radiology, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA that is funded by the University of Michigan, NIH Udall Center for Excellence in Parkinson's disease (Drs. Roger Albin & Nicolaas Bohnen). Our laboratory specializes in clinical, mobility, cognition, and multimodal imaging studies of Parkinson's disease and is directed by Drs. Nicolaas Bohnen, MD, PhD (Director) and Prabesh Kanel, PhD (Co-director). We are looking for a post-doctoral candidate to conduct, analyze, and interpret detailed clinical phenotypic, cognitive, biomechanical mobility assessments and multi-PET and MRI neuroimaging in patients with neurological disorders, in particular Parkinson's disease and REM Sleep Behavior Disorder. The applicant will also participate and oversee research studies.

Applicants must have completed a graduate degree (PhD) in cognitive neuroscience, neuroimaging, and have relevant experience. The applicant should be proficient with Sleep Profiler EEG acquisition, PET and MRI imaging processing, and statistical analysis tools. Fluency in English and teamwork skills to work in a multidisciplinary environment are important. Additional roles include leadership and active participation in project management activities including the administration of research projects, as well as some teaching sessions and supervision of students. This position will require self-initiative and ability to work independently without close supervision.

Compensation for this limited term position will be commensurate with experience and includes health benefits and follows the NIH salary guidelines for post-doctoral fellows.
