The Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design Creative Campus Voting Project (CCVP) is looking for a Project Coordinator who is collaborative, passionate, and organized. The Project Coordinator will expand the reach of CCVP's nonpartisan civic engagement work across the University of Michigan. You will focus on the Ann Arbor campus, with additional outreach to UM-Flint and UM-Dearborn.

Working with CCVP Co-Leads, you will help identify "voting champions" across all three U-M campuses with whom CCVP can collaborate and establish parameters for partnership. The Project Coordinator will guide the adaptation and deployment of CCVP design tools and support their implementation leading up to the 2026 midterm elections. The goal is to establish and support 10-15 active partner sites.

Responsibilities*

  • Partnership development: Engage schools, academic units, and student organizations across all three U-M campuses; adapt CCVP tools to local needs; support implementation, installation, and deployment.
  • Project coordination and communication: Communicate with partners and the CCVP team; collect feedback, identify best practices, and develop a guidebook of important insights.
  • Collaboration and meetings: Participate in weekly in-person meetings with project Co-Leads and conduct site visits with campus partners.
  • Coalition liaison: Coordinate with UMICH Votes Coalition partners, including Turn Up Turnout, the Ginsberg Center, UMMA, and the Duderstadt Center Gallery.

Modes of Work

The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
