Responsibilities*
- Performing lab experiments, including cell culture, protein and nucleic acid isolation, quantification, and analysis, immunofluorescence, microscopy, and other techniques.
- Performing mouse studies, including tissue collection and analysis by histology, and protein isolation and analysis, and ocular imaging studies.
- Analyzing data, trouble shooting, and presenting at lab meeting.
- Presenting at institutional and national and international conferences as appropriate.
- Assisting in manuscript writing, preparation, and submission.
Required Qualifications*
- A bachelor's Degree is required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to perform duties independently
- Strong ability to analyze complex visual data in a quantitative and objective manner
- Judgment and action skills required to solve commonly encountered problems
Senior
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field.
- Previous lab experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, and mouse experiments.
Intermediate
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field.
Associate
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field.
Desired Qualifications*
- Previous publications in basic science vision research.
- PhD degree is preferred.
