Job Summary

The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan invites applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in cognitive aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD) disparities.

Responsibilities*

Primary responsibilities will involve analyzing data and preparing publications using cross-sectional and longitudinal psychosocial, cognitive, and biomarker measures from large epidemiologic studies of diverse older adults (e.g., Michigan Cognitive Aging Project). The position is located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Opportunities for participation in other data collection efforts and secondary data analysis of other large, longitudinal datasets are also available.

Required Qualifications*

  • PhD in psychology, epidemiology, neuroscience, or a related discipline is required. All doctoral requirements must be completed prior to the fellowship start date.
  • Demonstrated achievement in quantitative research, supported by a track record of publications, specialized training, and advanced proficiency in statistical analysis (e.g., multilevel modeling, structural equation modeling) and/or structural MRI methodologies.  
  • Clear career commitment to brain and cognitive aging, Alzheimer's disease, or health disparities, as evidenced by relevant research experience and current subject matter expertise.

Additional Information

The position provides a salary consistent with NIH postdoctoral fellow rates in effect at the time of appointment offer, with a minimum salary of $62,232 - $67,824. This position is eligible for benefits. Please note a higher salary may be offered based on equity and experience. This is a 12-month term-limited position with the possibility of renewal. The anticipated start date is Summer 2026.
