Job Summary
The instructor will teach EECS 270: Introduction to Logic Design, a course on Boolean algebra, digital design techniques, logic gates, logic and state minimization, standard combinational circuits, latches and flip-flops, sequential circuits, synthesis of synchronous sequential circuits, state machines, FPGAs, memories, arithmetic circuits, and computer-aided design. Laboratory involves CAD-based design implemented on a FPGA including elementary interfacing.
This position is part-time (32 hours per week - 80%) and limited to the spring term 2026 - May 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026. Salary rate reflects the income at 80% for the spring term.

Responsibilities*
The instructor will be responsible for developing course materials, lecturing, holding office hours, preparing and grading exams, managing and grading class projects. Course support staff is dependent on course size. The course is expected to provide hands-on experience in the form of projects on the topic as well as homework/exams that reinforce lecture material.Required Qualifications*
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
- Prior experience in teaching a course on Logic Design
