Responsibilities*
Assists in the design and conduct of clinical research projects (with a focus on peri-implantitis) according to the study plan under the direction of the PI.
Works independently on data collection and analysis, establishing a database that enables continued investigation into key questions related to the understanding and prevention of peri-implantitis. Prepares reports and drafts manuscripts of research findings under the guidance of the PI.
Provides clinical research support to the PI in implementing established protocols and achieving scientific objectives.
Participates in research meetings and coordinates the ordering of supplies for research projects.
Required Qualifications*
This position requires a Bachelor's Degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or a related biological degree. This position requires two to three years of progressive, responsible full-time laboratory experience. The position requires this person to have excellent organization and communication skills, the ability to conduct a variety of tasks with a high degree of proficiency, the ability to troubleshoot problems, the ability to work in a timely manner as a part of a team and an excellent attendance record.
Desired Qualifications*
DDS or MS degree. Knowledge of University of Michigan policies and procedures. Knowledge of School of Dentistry policies and procedures.
Work Locations
This position is for the School of Dentistry located at 1011 N University Ave.
Additional Information
This is a one year term-limited, full time 100% appointment. Employment for subsequent years depends on laboratory funding and performance.
