Job Summary

We seek a high-achieving individual who is thoughtful and analytical, with interests and experiences in health policy analysis. This is a paid, part-time internship offering flexible start and end dates, designed for students pursuing a PhD in Public Health who have completed at least one year of coursework in public policy or public health. The intern will focus on our Research and Evaluation team and play a pivotal role in projects that advance the mission of the Center for Health and Research Transformation (CHRT). 

Responsibilities*

  • Support CCBHC Qualitative Research with CCBHCs and Persons Served 
    Help develop and finalize interview guides. 
    Assist with interview and focus group facilitation.
  • Conduct qualitative analysis of collected data. 
    Contribute to developing written reports summarizing findings.
    Conduct analyses using landscape analyses, literature reviews, survey or claims data analyses (primary or secondary), and qualitative data methodologies. 
     

Required Qualifications*

Currently pursuing a PhD in public health
 Knowledge of key health policy issues 
 Experience with health data sources, healthcare research, or analytic methodologies 
 Demonstrated strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills 

Familiarity with survey methodology and data analysis 
 

Desired Qualifications*

Familiarity with Michigan Medicine systems
