Job Summary:

Information and Technology Services (ITS) is seeking an ERP Business Analyst Senior for our Enterprise Application Services team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as a functional expert supporting the M-Pathways Student Administration System (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) - with a focus on processes related to Financial Aid and Student Financials.

Your day-to-day will include partnering closely with offices across the university, especially the Office of Financial Aid and Student Financial Services' to understand their needs, document requirements, analyze and design solutions, and ensure system reliability. You'll communicate clearly with customers, investigate and resolve complex issues, and help deliver excellent campus-wide service.

Modes of Work:

Responsibilities:

  • Be a functional expert for M-Pathways Student Administration System (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) ongoing use and maintenance
  • Work with a collaborative team to provide daily operations and support for financial aid and student financials systems
  • Evaluate systems and process problems; determine priority of response and follow-up for customer requests
  • Work with customers to gather requirements for changes to business processes and information systems
  • Analyze business and user needs; Document functional requirements; Identify dependencies and integration needs
  • Develop and document designs for new applications and existing applications; Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements
  • Execute test plans to support infrastructure, software upgrades and releases
  • Use SQL-based query tools for analysis and customer support
  • Lead projects and delegate tasks to meet customer expectations
  • Participate in strategic planning and setting of technical direction for the department
  • Make independent decisions that impact operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, certification and experience
  • Minimum of four years demonstrated experience in a related role requiring confidentiality, timeliness, customer service, organization, prioritization and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated skills in data analysis and process modeling tools and techniques
  • Previous experience working with enterprise student information systems, related to financial aid or student financials
  • Demonstrated skills for the job Responsibilities listed above

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and Higher Education regulations related to financial aid and student financials
  • Experience working with financial aid or student financials systems integrations (for example, SAIG, COD, CPS, Nelnet QuikPay, Oracle Peoplesoft Financials)
  • Knowledge of General Ledger Fund accounting and rec
