Job Summary
Performs advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties requiring broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organizational policies and practices in the Office of the Senior Vice-President and Chief Environmental Social and Governance Officer and the Sustainability Team for University of Michigan Health. Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc. Compose and may initiate routine correspondence, screens calls and visitors, resolves routine and some complex inquiries.

Responsibilities*
- Schedules and maintains calendar of appointments, meetings, travel itineraries and coordinates related arrangements and complete Concur expense management reports for both the SVP & Chief ESG Officer and the Sustainability Team. Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings. Coordinate problem-solving with support staff across areas.
- Analyze, compare, and evaluate various courses of action and have the authority to make independent decisions on matters of significance, within the scope of responsibilities. Exercise discretion and judgement on making priorities and effective use of the executive's time; organize background material, maintain systematic follow up to ensure deadlines are met and that information or material required from others is received on a timely basis. Primary activities and decision-making authority are predominantly performed independently, affecting quality and level of service provided within the office on behalf of the organization.
- Plan, arrange and execute a variety of special events for visiting dignitaries, potential executive candidates, retirements, farewells, and other noteworthy occasions hosted by this office. Preparing meeting agendas and itineraries as needed.
- Provide communication links, using high level of sensitivity and discretion with individuals outside the Health System who seeks attention of the Senior Vice-President. Maintain positive and effective working relationships with other internal departments and staff.
- Review incoming mail, internal and external communications to and from the Senior Vice-President. Oversee maintenance of filing system in the Office.
- Approve and reconcile payroll timekeeping records and maintain compliance with procurement policies and practices of the university.
- Provide oversight for accounts, process monthly statement of activity.
Required Qualifications*
- Advance knowledge of MM policies and procedures, high level computer skills, excellent communication skills, experience in scheduling and maintaining calendar of appointments, meetings, travel itineraries and coordinating related arrangements, as well as complete Concur expense reports.
- 5-10 years experience supporting a high-level executive.

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
