Job Summary

We are seeking Student Editorial Board Members to collaboratively support the zine editorial
board (zBoard). These positions are open to undergraduate and graduate students. These are
paid positions with an immediate expected start date and commitment of approximately 15
hours per month through December, 2026 (including Summer 2026). This is a grant-funded
project.


Background - A Zine about Students as Partners (aka Wolverzine): What if we approached
higher education as a partnership between students, faculty, and staff? Perhaps there are
partnerships on campus, right now, wherein students, faculty, and staff are collaborating as
researchers or teachers or artists on a project together. Just as important as these
collaborations is a publication to showcase them. So, we started a ?zine? (zeen).

Responsibilities*

  • Web design (some paid training hours available)
  • Working with media, social media, image editing, and/or graphic design. Experience with InDesign or other graphic design layout software, Photoshop, Canva, Instagram, Facebook, etc.
  • Collaborating with our other web design-focused board members on improving usabilitySoliciting and reviewing written and visual submissions
  • Attending bi-weekly meetings
  • All in collaboration with the rest of the board members
  • Event organizing including creating flyers and adding events to various university calendars. Working with other board members to decide on and arrange room booking, food and drinks, and design activities.

Approximately 15 hours a month.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with accessible web design
  • Experience with Wordpress
  • Experience in the arts and/or with graphic design
  • Editing/publishing experience

Modes of Work
