The Kellogg Eye Center at Michigan Medicine is globally recognized for outstanding patient care, leading-edge research, and cultivating the next generation of leaders. Our department continues to grow and is opening a new Ophthalmology Clinic at the Troy Center for Specialty Care. We invite applications for a full-time clinical faculty position in cornea and refractive surgery.

Position Highlights

  • Faculty Rank/Track: Appointment rank may be at the Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level on the clinical track depending on qualifications, career goals, and experience.
  • Clinical Activity: Deliver expert cornea care at our Troy Center for Specialty Care. This full-time clinical opportunity is ideal for a fellowship-trained cornea and refractive surgery specialist who is eager to help build and expand cornea services in a new location within a leading academic health system.

Required Qualifications*

  • Board-eligible or board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO).

  • Completed fellowship training in cornea.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing the medical and surgical aspects of cornea and anterior segment diseases.

  • Eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
