Job Summary

The Department of Cell & Developmental Biology is seeking a full-time Research Laboratory Technician Associate in the lab of Dr. Cai, which studies neuronal circuitry and neurogenesis in mouse and fly brains.

Responsibilities*

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician Associate to support ongoing research in a collaborative neuroscience laboratory. The successful candidate will contribute to experimental workflows, data analysis, and general laboratory operations.

Primary responsibilities include performing routine molecular and cellular biology techniques such as molecular cloning, immunohistochemistry, fluorescence microscopy, and quantitative image analysis.

Additional responsibilities include preparing stock solutions and reagents, maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment, sterilizing glassware, and ensuring a clean and organized laboratory environment. The technician will also assist with general laboratory management tasks and may support other research activities as needed.

 

Required Qualifications*

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills contributing to a strong team environment are required.

Bachelors in biology or related science degree and at least 1 years' experience.

Applicant should be highly motivated with thorough, methodological, and accurate work habits, and must be able to work as part of a team. 

The ideal candidate has a strong ability to multi-task.

  • Previous lab research experience.

Modes of Work

Background Screening
