Responsibilities*

Talent Relations (coverage during a Leave of Absence on the Talent Relations team)

 

OnboardingServe as Talent Relations' first point of contact for the onboarding experience, managing logistics and implementation of the onboarding program for new regular, temporary and student employees. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partnering with "onboarding specialists," whose roles support the onboarding process, to launch the onboarding plans for each new hire.
  • Collaborating with Development Services colleagues to ensure equipment and access is arranged for new employees. 
  • Distributing new hire welcome packages, welcome emails, and onboarding surveys 
  • Scheduling onboarding meetings
  • Providing back-up to the onboarding specialists, as needed.
  • Maintain detailed tracking and scheduling spreadsheets

 

Additional Talent Relations Team Support, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting administrative logistics of the OUD Offboarding process.
  • Tracking and notification of the U-M probationary period administrative process.
  • Scheduling a variety of meetings and rooms, scheduling team office hours
  • Administering OUD's staff recognition program - sending emails, maintaining tracking spreadsheets, delivering awards
  • Administration of People & Culture's team recognition program

 

Talent Acquisition

  • Assist with applicant resume blinding.
  • Providing support with data collection and management.
  • Recording candidate tracking updates within Applicant Tracking System.
  • Provide back-up support for Talent Acquisition Coordinator with 3rd round interview scheduling,  interview itineraries, and interview panel preparation.
  • Updating and creating biteable videos.
  • Posting new positions to external job sites.

 

People & Culture

  • Provide support to Executive Assistant as needed.

Required Qualifications*

  • Working knowledge of Google Suite (calendar, g-mail, docs, drive) and/or Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Proven experience working in an administrative capacity
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are critical characteristics
  • Effective time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • This position is considered ?hybrid?. You will be required to work on-site 3 days per week.
  • This position will work 30-40 hours per week.
