Job Summary

The Department of Radiology at the C.S. Mott Children' s Hospital and the University of Michigan Medical School are recruiting CAQ certified or eligible pediatric radiologists to join the section of pediatric radiology. We are recruiting for both daytime and overnight positions.

We are currently creating a 3-person pediatric nocturnist team to complement our established adult emergency nocturnist group. Schedule will be 7 days on/14 days off. Shifts will cover 10 pm to 7 am. An ideal candidate would be local to provide emergency fluoroscopy coverage and would feel confident reading the entire scope of urgent pediatric body examinations across all modalities.

We are also hiring pediatric radiologists to join our daytime team of 10 faculty in the section of pediatric radiology. We welcome applicants with any level of faculty experience. We especially encourage inquiries from pediatric radiology fellows completing their training in 2026.

The section of pediatric radiology is responsible for all body and musculoskeletal imaging of pediatric patients, totaling approximately 95,000 pediatric imaging exams annually. The hospital has 277 pediatric beds, diverse subspecialty outpatient clinics and a busy 31-bay pediatric emergency department. We provide training for two fellows each year.

Required Qualifications*

M.D. or equivalent, ABR-certified or has passed the core examination and on track to take the certifying examination within 15 months of completing residency. Must be eligible to complete ABR-certification in pediatric radiology and obtain a State of Michigan medical license.
