Job Summary:

This internship supports Merit?s mission by partnering with Business Systems and Finance to standardize revenue and customer key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver accurate, auditable reporting dashboards. You?ll evaluate and improve existing reporting tools, gather stakeholder requirements, and implement enhancements to streamline workflows through data modeling, validation, and change management. The role builds experience in business analysis, project coordination, database/query work, and reporting/data visualization in a corporate environment.

Responsibilities*

  • Partner with Business Systems and Finance to define and standardize revenue/customer KPIs and reporting requirements.  
  • Build or enhance revenue reporting and customer metric dashboards by mapping KPIs to source systems and ensuring accuracy/auditability.  
  • Assess current reporting tools and workflows to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to automate or streamline.  
  • Implement improvements (e.g., updated queries/data models, dashboard redesigns, validation tests) and support rollout/change management.  
  • Gather and document stakeholder requirements for new reports (use cases, fields/filters, refresh cadence, access/security) and translate into actionable specs.

Desired Qualifications*

  • Pursuing a college degree, preferably with coursework in computer science, engineering, or information systems

  • Strong writing and verbal skills required
  • Ability to review, plan, and carry out projects as defined
  • Comfortable working with and communicating with a variety of people

Modes of Work

Working hours must be on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday between 9am-5pm. This role will be supported as a hybrid work opportunity. 

This position is part of Merit?s summer internship program, which runs from the week of June 15, 2026 through the week of August 21, 2026. Interns are expected to work up to 20 hours per week throughout the duration of the program. Work schedules will be established in alignment with team needs and intern availability.
