Job Summary
KCRC Research Fellow will support clinical trial recruitment activities for the Kellogg Clinical Research Center under the supervision of clinical research coordinators. Fellow will assist with identification, screening, and engagement of potential research participants; support study recruitment workflows and outreach efforts; and contribute to the efficient execution of clinical research operations while gaining practical experience in human subjects research.
Responsibilities*
Assist with identification of potential research participants through chart review, clinic schedule review, and other approved recruitment methods. Support screening of potential participants against inclusion and exclusion criteria under supervision of research staff. Conduct recruitment outreach via phone, email, or in-person interactions in accordance with approved protocols. Assist with maintenance of recruitment logs, screening databases, and participant tracking tools. Prepare and organize recruitment materials, informational handouts, and study documentation. Coordinate scheduling of participant screening and study visits. Participate in team meetings and training sessions. Maintain compliance with institutional policies, IRB requirements, HIPPA regulations, and Good Clinical Practice standards in all assigned activities.
Required Qualifications*
Requires a bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, public health, health sciences, psychology, or another related field. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and research staff, maintain accurate documentation, and work collaboratively in a clinical or research environment.
Desired Qualifications*
Previous experience in clinical research, human subjects research, healthcare, or related research support activities is desirable. Knowledge of clinical research regulations, human subjects protections, and medical terminology is preferred.
