Job Summary
Individual will be an essential member of the Weight Navigation Program?s Operation Team. They will monitor and assess referral workqueues for the program and conduct outreach, via patient portal message, to patients in the program to encourage weight loss and offer additional support if needed. Will involve interfacing with physicians and patients and participating in quality improvement initiatives with a team of clinicians and researchers. Individual will support the MiWeigh Study, a pragmatic randomized controlled trial testing the effectiveness of the Weight Navigation Program by recruiting and consenting research participants and assisting with other research tasks as needed. This is a one-year term-limited position.
Responsibilities*
- Recruit research participants by phone and email
- Conduct screening to determine eligibility
- Conduct informed consent
- Create orders and monitor In Basket messages in the EHR
- Monitor referral workqueues and communicate with providers and schedulers as needed
- Conduct outreach to patients in the Weight Navigation Program
- Manage the operations of the text-based application used by patients to report weight
- Other tasks as assigned
