Job Summary

Work with the Communications Specialist and the Events & Engagement Coordinator for the College of Arts, Sciences & Education at UM-Flint to design a variety of materials in support of CASE's academic units. 

Responsibilities*

This position involves collaborating with subject-matter experts within the units to gather pertinent information and resources, and then working with the communications team to produce designs for flyers, posters, brochures, digital event imagery, branded items, and more. You'll also collaborate with the communications team to develop digital content for the CASE blog, email, social media, and website channels. 

Required Qualifications*

  • Experience designing graphics for web- and print-based materials (website, email, social media, flyers, posters, etc.)
  • Ability to adhere to the U-M and UM-Flint style guides
  • Be a dependable, professional self-starter with effective time management skills
  • Be a currently enrolled UM-Flint student 

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience using design software such as Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in pitching creative ideas, incorporating feedback, iterating, and collaborating with others on projects
  • The ability to break down projects into manageable tasks and adhere to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Experience using project management software (such as Asana) to manage your tasks and project workflow

Modes of Work

Hybrid
The work requirements allow both onsite and offsite work and an employee has an expected recurring onsite presence. On occasion, the employee may be required and must be available to work onsite more frequently if necessitated by unit leadership or their designee and/or the job requirements.
