Job Summary
Assisting the research Faculty member by maintaining cell cultures of musculoskeletal cells.
Responsibilities*
- Maintaining cell cultures of musculoskeletal cells.
- Determine changes in cell function using assay kits and the role of ion channels in these changes.
- Analyze and graph data obtained in experiments.
- Creating lists of materials needed for the lab.
Required Qualifications*
- Must be a UM-Flint Undergraduate Student.
- Must be recommended by a Biology Faculty member.
- Expertise in cell culture.
- Knowledge of microscopic imaging techniques.
- Successful completion of BSL2 safety training.
- Familiarity with cell biology.
Desired Qualifications*
- Experience in Biology and/or Chemistry labs
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- High level of organization skills
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan
