Responsibilities*

Transplant Nephrology Clinical Schedule and Administrative Operations

  • Manage a complex and regularly changing outpatient and inpatient clinical schedule for 8 faculty members
  • Independently own all administrative operations (Examples Include: Manage Space, Maintain CV's, Complex Calendaring, Recruiting, Prepare for and Host Visitors, Plan and Execute Weekly Conferences, Prepare and Support Faculty Evaluations, and Positively Represent the Transplant Center in Internal and External Communications)
  • Proactively partner with medical directors on all administrative matters


Transplant Fellowship Administration (1-2 Fellows)

  • Program Accreditation
  • Fellow Recruitment
  • Curriculum Development
  • Department Liaison for Graduate Medical Education
  • Resident/Fellow Scheduling


Division Administrative Operations

  • Contribute to a variety of Division administrative operations as needed

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years of professional/administrative experience
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective and sustained faculty working relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to think autonomously and escalate issues as needed
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communications skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with considerable independence and work under general supervision

Desired Qualifications*

  • Experience with QGenda Advanced Scheduling Software
  • GME experience
  • Experience in an academic health system
  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures

Modes of Work

Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
