Job Summary
The Department of Psychology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Social Psychology to begin August 25, 2027. This is a university year appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. All sub-areas of Social Psychology will be considered, including the core themes of emotion, culture, motivation, attitudes, social cognition, interpersonal and intergroup relations. Social Psychology is a hub discipline that contributes to adjacent areas of academic inquiry and addresses real-world problems. Expertise, breadth, and innovation in theoretical, applied, and methodological approaches will also be considered.
Required Qualifications*
Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in psychology and demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching and mentorship, including courses that address core-area needs. New faculty hired at the Assistant Professor level will be expected to establish an independent research program.
