Job Summary
The Director of Basketball Operations works alongside the Head Coach to oversee the complete operations of the men's basketball program.
Responsibilities*
- Serve as Basketball Liaison with Business Office
- Oversee all purchases and contractual agreements
- Serve as Basketball Liaison with Travel Office
- Coordinate Travel Logistics for the men's basketball team
- Schedule future opponents
- Oversee Scheduling for team practice times, visiting team logistics, and home game logistics
- Oversee Student-Athlete Campus needs including financial aid, holiday break arrangements, incoming freshman logistics, academic mentorship, public relations, media appearances, and compliance forms
- Serve as Basketball Liaison with Ticket Office
- Oversee ticket allocation for home basketball and football recruiting tickets, and home and away basketball tickets for student-athletes and staff.
- Serve as Basketball Liaison with Nutrition Specialist, arrange Team Training Table meals
- Serve as Basketball Liaison with Equipment Manager and Apparel Provider
- Serve as Basketball Liaison with Facilities Managers
- Work with Staff GM to facilitate NIL activities
- Assist with all on-campus recruiting activities
Required Qualifications*
- Must demonstrate an understanding of the NCAA Compliance rules.
- Have NCAA Basketball working or playing experience.
- Must have 4 year college degree
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with all individuals at all levels of the organization
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must work well in work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and time sensitive demands.
