Responsibilities*

Benefit checks and obtaining insurance authoirzations for:

  • Hearing Aids
  • Cochlear Implant upgrades and replacements
  • My HPV Score testing

ABN Waiver Management

  • Scrubbing clinic schedules locating ABN Waivers
  • Completion of ABN Waiver documentation
  • Communication with check in staff across OTO sites ensuring waivers are available for patient signatures

Order Management

  • SLP/PT/Audiology orders, routing, tracking and coordination

Therapy Plan Management

  • Monitoring, updating, payer compliance

Patient and Clinic Support

  • Communicating, documentation, workflow coordination

Required Qualifications*

Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 3 years of experience

Desired Qualifications*

3 or more years of customer service experience within a medical environment

1-2 years of experience in patient services, medical insurance benefit verification and authorization process

Experience supporting Audiology, SLP, PT or related clinical departments

Familiarity with Michigan Medicine payer requirements and ABN processes

Ability to manage multiple complex workflows simultaneously

Modes of Work
