Responsibilities*
- Assist in teaching courses
- Preparing instructional materials
- Managing Canvas site
- Give laboratory or clinical demonstrations
- Prepare, administer, and grade subjective and objective examinations and assignments
- Lecture and lead laboratory and recitation sections.
- May interact with students regarding course content or grades
Required Qualifications*
- Undergraduate student in good academic standing with knowledge of the subject matter OR Non-UM Student with a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- This position is not open to current University of Michigan graduate students
- 1+ years of experience in an administrative or program support role, especially in higher education.
- Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular business hours to support events.
- Must have a basic understanding of web accessibility guidelines.
- Grading experience
- Some knowledge of social media/online communities.
Course Description
This course introduces students to social science concepts and theories related to social media and online communities, such as identity and self-presentation, and some principles of designing online communities.
