Responsibilities*
- Assist Physical Therapy Staff in day-to-day operations
- Assist Physical Therapy Staff in direct patient care patient care, including: support during interventions and two-person techniques and support the set up and application of therapeutic modalities/equipment
- Physical space management
- Perform clinic cleaning duties and helping to maintain the clinic's regulatory readiness
- Ordering and maintaining supply inventory
- Equipment monitoring
- Training/orienting new tech staff
- Works closely with the Lead Tech-teamwork will be expected
Required Qualifications*
- High School diploma or an equivalent of education and experience is necessary.
Desired Qualifications*
- Ability to understand and communicate both orally and in writing so others will understand.
- Ability to efficiently navigate electronic medical records and online scheduling system.
- Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and supporting patients throughout the entire work day.
- Basic computer skills
- Experience in working with patients having physical disabilities in a health care setting is desirable.
- On the job training in a physical therapy department is desirable.

Work Schedule
Monday- Friday 10:30am - 7pm
Union Affiliation
This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the United Michigan Medicine Allied Professionals (UMMAP), which contains and settles all matters with respect to wages, benefits, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment.
