Job Summary
The Branches Program Manager provides high-level administrative leadership and strategic oversight, partnering closely with the Assistant Director for Curriculum Services and Faculty Directors to manage curriculum in the third and fourth year of medical school (Branches phase). The role drives the end-to-end student experience by managing course logistics, curriculum integration, student tracking and compliance initiatives.
Responsibilities*
Administrative Leadership. Provide operational leadership for the Branches Residency Prep Courses (RPC):
- Partner with RPC Faculty Directors to define, organize and implement RPC wide curriculum including Paging, Advanced Communications, Lunch & Learn, MTalk, Mistreatment Workshops, and Teaching Competition.
- Collaborate with RPC Directors and coordinators to provide administrative support for course operations.
- Partner with Faculty Directors to review course evaluations and participate in a course review.
- Assist with development and management of RPC administrative budget.
- Provide administrative support to ensure learning experiences are accurately and comprehensively captured.
- Attend appropriate curricular operations meetings to represent courses.
- Facilitate RPC committee meetings and assist RPC Directors to organize and distribute agenda, meeting invites, and minutes.
Curriculum Development:
- Collaborate with the Director of Branches Longitudinal Clinics to administer and support the Apprenticeship course, Med Home course, and Longitudinal Clinic Sub-Internship course.
- Work with Branch Directors and Assistant Director of Curriculum to develop and administer all activities during Branch Launch, Branch Spring Conference, and the faculty/student mixers.
- Partner with the Assistant of Curriculum Services, faculty, and students to develop and facilitate new pilot electives following all approved processes.
- Partner with faculty course directors to support the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of assigned Branch courses.
Collaborate with faculty course directors to review student performance and develop remediation plans for assigned Branch courses. Provide oversight to ensure student completion of remediation.
Oversee collection and entry of learning objectives and keywords in OASIS software system.
Manage instructional material completion and distribution, including digital accessibility and captioning. Ensure alignment of Learning Objectives with course content.
Course Management: Provide administrative management for Branches Interprofessional Education events:
- Direct all IPE activities occurring in Branch Launch, Branch Spring Conference, Branches Residency Prep Courses and Select electives.
- Manage learning modules, faculty participation, development of student schedules, completion of required activities and room reservations.
- Supervise the compilation, design, creation and production of all course materials.
- Collaborate with Faculty Course Directors to review student performance and develop remediation plans.
- Manage student absences and late assignments, coordinating make-up assignments and reporting concerns.
- Provide guidance for students organizing and completing individually arranged elective courses.
- Facilitate and promote a collegial environment through effective communication and collaboration with faculty, staff and students.
Curriculum and Committee facilitation:
- Committee facilitation, including oversight of meeting logistics, agenda, meeting minutes and distribution for assigned Branches Operations meetings.
- Support activities related to LCME accreditation, compliance, reporting, documentation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Back-up admin for logistics of the Sci Trunk and Clinical Trunk Interprofessional Education sessions.
- Partner with the Director of Curriculum Services to review Late Grade Dashboard, trouble shoot, and provide assistance to departments with late grades (i.e. send direct links to grade entry platform).
Required Qualifications*
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Three to five years of relevant experience in education.
3. Relevant experience managing the administration of academic programs, phases, required courses, or elective courses.
4. Excellent management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proven ability to work with faculty, staff, students in a team-oriented environment.
6. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with faculty, staff and professional students.
7. Administrative and programmatic acumen in terms of applying policies governing curriculum and course management.
8. Past experience working with IT resources supporting education, such as Canvas, DropBox, Sharepoint, and other software programs.

Modes of Work
Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Work agreements are reviewed annually at a minimum and are subject to change at any time, and for any reason, throughout the course of employment. Learn more about the work modes.
Work Locations
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite presence to manage or coordinate in-person sessions for faculty and students, as well as for mandatory team meetings. Onsite work will average 1?2 days per week, though some weeks may require more time (3-5 days) depending on scheduled curricular events.
Background Screening
