Job Summary
Oversee patron activity in the Lobby and House before, during, and after events in the Theatre.
Responsibilities*
- Attend events in the Theatre.
- Supervise activity in the Lobby before, during, and after events.
- Greet patrons, answer questions, and assist with navigating the Theatre.
- Enforce venue policy when necessary.
- Communicate information about patron activity to event organizers.
- Assist with preparations to the House and Lobby prior to events and assist with cleanup afterward.
- Distribute work assignments to ushers as assigned by Stage manager
Required Qualifications*
- Must be a student enrolled in the Arts Administration graduate program at the University of Michigan-Flint.
Desired Qualifications*
- An interest in theatre and/or live event production.
- Any level of experience with customer service and performance venues is preferred but not required. You will be trained on the job.
Modes of Work
Onsite
The work requires, or the supervisor approves a fully onsite presence. Onsite is defined as a designated U-M owned or leased work location within or outside of the State of Michigan

Background Screening
