Job Summary

A faculty position is available for a Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist with strong interest and skills in patient care, teaching, and research.  This position will involve collaboration between the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplant (PHO-BMT) program at Michigan Medicine and the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology program at Trinity Health Oakland (THO) or another off-site affiliate. The rank will be dependent on experience. Responsibilities will be primarily clinical, with approximately 50% effort at THO or another off-site affiliate and 50% at Michigan Medicine. These percentages may change as patient volume changes at THO and other off-site locations. Responsibilities at Michigan Medicine will include providing care on both the outpatient and inpatient PHO-BMT services.  This position will include sharing services with other Pediatric Hematologist Oncologists, teaching medical students and residents, clinical supervision of nurses and other allied health providers, and involvement in clinical trials in oncology. 

Required Qualifications*

Candidates must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, must have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, be board certified in Pediatrics and board certified/eligible Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Michigan. Proven excellence in clinical care and teaching is required.
