Job Summary
A postdoc position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sami Malek at the University of Michigan to study therapy resistance and molecular evolution of human acute myelogenous leukemia at relapse using a variety of state-of-the-art molecular techniques. The applicant will study genes and pathways underlying competitive regrowth of leukemia cells at relapse from therapy and will perform in-depth mechanistic studies on selected genes. A wealth of preliminary data is available, and the project is supported by availability of hundreds of human AML specimens and AML xenotransplants. The successful applicant will have documented evidence of prior productivity and an interest in academic or industry positions after completion of training.
Responsibilities*
